The historic Red Berry Mansion is currently undergoing an extensive renovation, as part of larger redevelopment efforts now underway across The Red Berry Estate, which will soon re-open her doors and legend to a new generation in San Antonio as a modernized event venue just minutes from downtown. Now being redesigned to host social & corporate events year-round, the French chateau style mansion is set to deliver the best of Texas charm and hospitality for an unforgettable event experience.
The main floor will feature a versatile events space including a ~2,000+ sq. ft. Ballroom, as well as an adjoining private meeting room.
The Ballroom will be connected to the expanded Lakeview Terrace being constructed, resulting in an event space that can flow from indoor to outdoor with breathtaking views spanning the estate and private lake.
The mansion’s legendary basement casino is also being fully restored, providing a unique space for a variety of events.
The redesign will provide a similarly flexible event space of ~1,800 sq. ft. on this level with a built-in bar, and public restrooms on this floor as well. Event guests will be able to exit directly to the estate’s spacious lakeside grounds through two doorways on either side of the large half dome window with a grand view of the garden fountain.
The rooms on the mansion’s top floor are being remodeled to provide separate suites, each with a private restroom, which are attached to a larger central room and connected to the outdoor Chateau Balcony that provides commanding views of the grounds, lake, and downtown San Antonio skyline.
When used for corporate events, the top floor will provide a series of smaller meeting and conference breakout rooms.
The estate’s new Lakeside Pavilion will measure 95’ x 50’, delivering nearly 5,000 sq. ft. of air conditioned event space, and an adjacent covered Lakeside Veranda will provide another 2,000 sq. ft of adjacent space for outdoor entertaining.
The Pavilion will have a seated guest capacity of approximately 400 guests and a reception capacity of about 600 guests.
Beyond the changes within the Red Berry Mansion, the Estate property is also being reimagined by event specialists at The RK Group to better accommodate events for all occasions. Accordingly, a new event space is being constructed lakeside. The estate’s new Lakeside Pavilion will provide nearly 5,000 sq. ft. of indoor air conditioned event space, and is surrounded by a covered Lakeside Veranda which provides another 2,000 sq. ft of space for connected outdoor entertaining.
